Peter S. Brighman

D.M.D.

Dr. Peter Brightman graduated from Boston College with Bachelor of science in Chemistry, he then attended the University of Pennsylvania, school of Dentistry where he received is D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine), He then completed his General Practice Residency in San Diego at the Naval Regional Medical Center where he mastered his training in Oral Surgery, complex surgeries, and molar root canals. Dr. Brightman spent 2 1/2 years on the USS Bellea Wood (LHA-) as a Dental Officer and 1 year General Practice Residency. He then continued his education at the International School of Theology.

Amit Batheja

Endodontist

Dr. Amit Batheja has worked with Brightman Dental since 2013. He received his Bachelor in Dental Surgery at the College of Dental Surgery in Mangalore India in 1999.

He then attended Loma Linda University and received his DDS in 2002. He went on to practice general dentistry in Southern California for 5 years and also served as part time faculty in the Emergency Care Department at USC in 2007.

In 2009 Dr Batheja completed his graduate residency at USC and received his certificate in Endodontics.

He actively maintains professional memberships with the ADA, CDA, Tricounty Dental Society and the American Association of Endodontists.

His broader interest areas are in metaphysics, Reiki, and enjoys studying the work of David Hawkins M.D.,Ph.D.

Biography

I am kind and honest. I always try a holistic approach when it comes to delivering patient care. When I see changes in my patients' brushing habits and improvement in the health of their tissue and bone, it is a very rewarding experience to know I affected their quality of life.

Jessica Liu

Orthodontist

Welcome Dr. Jessica Liu....our new Orthodontist on staff! Please come by and meet her!

Jessica studied at the University of Louisville, (Dentist) University of Toronto,(Human Biology) and Loma Linda University to finish up her degree with a major in Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Parth Karia

Dr. Parth Karia is a Southern California native, where he attended Gahr High School in Cerritos, CA. He studied Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego, where he made the decision to pursue dentistry through volunteering in the free dental clinics in San Diego. He then completed a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. After graduating dental school, he moved to the East Coast to pursue an advanced training in hospital dentistry at Stony Brook University General Practice Residency. Following his passion for saving teeth, Dr. Karia successfully completed Endodontics specialty residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Karia has a passion for teaching and also volunteers his time teaching endodontics to dental residents at LAC-USC Medical Center.

Dr. Karia has a passion for community service and served as the Clinic Coordinator for 2 years running the Riverside Free Dental Clinic during his dental school providing weekly free dental services to underserved people. During his specialty endodontics residency, Dr. Karia was one of the only 2 residents selected in the country to serve in an International Outreach Dental Mission Trip to Jamaica. He was also active in research and presented his research at an oral presentation at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting in Montreal, Canada.

He moved back home after his endodontics training to Southern California to be closer to his family. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, watching Lakers games and listening to podcasts. He is also fluent in Spanish, Hindi and Gujarati.
